If you want to write Bangla text, please download the software from http://www.omicronlab.com - (FREE download)
If you can not see Bangla fonts in the browser, here is the solution.
Download and install Fonts:
- Click here to download windows TTF font Siyam Rupali
- Copy this font into c:\Windows\Fonts or Control Panel/fonts directory
Configuring Windows 2000 for Bangla:
Step by step instruction
- Go to Control Panel, Regional Options
- In the General tab, see the Language settings for the system
- Select Indic from the list
- Click Ok. All done, Yes, it is that easy!
Notes:
Keep your Windows 2000 CD near at hand. Windows may ask for it in order to copy necessary system files. You may have to restart your computer.
Configuring Windows Xp for Bangla:
Step by step instruction:
- Go to Control Panel, Regional and Language Options
- In the Language tab, select Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai)
- Click Ok.
Notes:
Keep your Windows Xp CD near at hand. Windows may ask for it in order to copy necessary system files. You may have to restart your computer. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you will use at least service pack 2 of Windows Xp for using Bangla.
Configuring your Browser:
Internet Explorer (IE) configuration for Bangla
- From Tools menu, select Internet Options.
- From Internet Options window, click on Fonts (on General Tab).
- Click on the drop down list for Language Script. Select Bengali from this drop down list.
- Select Siyam Rupali for Web Page Font (of course, you can choose any other Bangla font). Then click OK.
Mozilla Firefox configuration for Bangla
- From Tools menu, select Options.
- From this Options window, click on Contents.
- Click on Advanced button in Fonts & Colors section.
- Click on the drop down list for option Fonts For. Select Bengali from this list.
- Complete all the option fields as in the following image (you may choose your any favourite Bangla font) and then click on OK.
