আজ আমার এখানে ২৫শে মার্চ রাত, আর ঢাকায় ২৬শে মার্চের সকাল। খুবই তাৎপর্যময় একটি সময়। ১৯৭১ সালের এই রাতে পাকিস্তানী হানাদার বাহিনী নেমে এসেছিল আমাদেরকে একটি মৃত্যু উপত্যকা বানানোর জন্য। আবার এই মুহুর্তেই আমরা ডাক দিয়েছিলাম স্বাধীনতার।

I saw the little portion of world with few incidents. If one person is hijacked or in danger for his/her life, the intelligence and law enforcement agency try to save him/her by their best efforts.

সাহারা খাতুন সম্পর্কে আমার কোন পূর্ব ধারনা ছিল না। ব্যক্তিগতভাবে তাকে আমি চিনি না। আমি যে রাজনীতির খুব আন্তপান্ত খবর রাখি তাও নয়। তাই হয়তো তার নাম আমি শুনিনি। কিন্তু তিনি নিশ্চই আওয়ামী লীগের একজন খুব নিবেদিত প্রাণ কর্মী হবেন। তার কার্যক্রম আমার চোখে পড়ে বিগত তত্ত্বাবধায়ক সরকারের আমলে শেখ হাসিনা আটক থাকার সময়।

আজকের সকালটি ছিল অসম্ভব রকমের সুন্দর। হালকা শীতের কুয়াশা পড়েছিল। সূর্য্যরে আলো আছে; কিন্তু তীব্রতা নেই। সূর্য্যকে দেখাও যাচ্ছে না। ঠান্ডা এমন যে হালকা সোয়েটার হলেই যথেষ্ঠ। গাড়ি ষ্টার্ট নিতেই বাজতে শুরু করলো “আনন্দলোকে মঙ্গলালোকে বিরাজ সত্য সুন্দর”। গত কয়েকদিন ধরে একটানা এই গানটি শুনে যাচ্ছি। গানের কথাগুলো এতো সুন্দর, মনে হয় একেকটি শব্দ বেছে বেছে কবিগুরু বসিয়েছেন তার অসীম শব্দ ভান্ডার থেকে।
