Japan has threatened to suspend aid to Bangladesh if the government fails to speed up project implementation and ensure "transparency and accountability" of its funding programme, officials said Thursday.
Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad yesterday said that the media of the country was able to ensure transparency and accountability for the development and progress of a corruption free Bangladesh.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today urged to ensure transparency and accountability in spending public funds like government donations and other allocations for the maximum welfare of the people.
