Take stern action against culprits; Demand rights activists

Rights activists yesterday demanded stern action against those who attacked indigenous people and grabbed their lands at Tarash in Sirajganj on September 15. They also demanded steps to ensure the indigenous people's right to land.

The demands were placed at a press conference organised by Bangladesh Indigenous Peoples' Forum, Bangladesh Adibashi Odhikar Andolon, Gano Kaylan Sangstha and Bangladesh Manobadhikar Bastabayon Sangstha at Dhaka Reporters' Unity auditorium in the city.
