The government has appointed Muhammad Kamaluddin, former Bangladesh high commissioner to Malaysia, the ambassador to Iraq to reopen the Baghdad mission after a lapse of more than six years, a foreign ministry release said Wednesday.
Nearly 6,000 doctors would be appointed on ad-hoc basis within two months. Besides, 10,000 community clinics, which were closed during the rule of the previous BNP-Jamaat alliance government, would be reopened. A project has been initiated for repair of the closed clinics and construction of new ones.
