AL expresses deep shock

The ruling Awami League Saturday expressed profound shock at the death of veteran politician and former finance minister M Saifur Rahman in a road accident. In a condolence message, the AL’s acting president, Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and acting general secretary, Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif conveyed sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.

AL to launch member collection drive in Oct

The ruling Awami League will launch member collection drives across the country by the beginning of October to strengthen the party’s base at grassroots level and overcome organisational inertia.
