টেলিভিশন নাটকের এবং বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানের অর্থলগ্নিকারী প্রযোজনা প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো আবার আন্দোলনে নেমেছে। দীর্ঘদিনের পাওনা টাকার জন্য কয়েকটি চ্যানেলের কাছে ধরনা দিতে দিতে এখন তারা প্রচন্ড ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে উঠেছে। এ চ্যানেলগুলোর জন্নই হয়েছিল রাজনৈতিক বিবেচনায়। তথ্য মন্ত্রণালয় জানিয়েছে, এসব চ্যানেলের কোনো বৈধ কাগজপত্র নেই। কোনো নীতিমালাও অতীতে কোনো সরকার করে যায়নি। সাবেক বিএনপি-জামায়াত জোট সরকার অবশ্য কোনো নীতি-নৈতিকতার ধার ধারত না। অথচ তারা আইনি প্যাঁচেই একুশে টেলিভিশনকে বন্ধ করেছিল। আবার আইনি লড়াই করেই একুশে টিভি পুনরুজ্জীবিত হয়েছে।

Apple releases OS X Leopard 10.5.4 update

Apple has posted the update 10.5.4 for its Mac OS X Leopard operating system. The company promises that the update delivers security, reliability and performance enhancements, as well as the code to support the upcoming MobileMe online service that is set to debut on July 11.

Preparing proposal for BTV’s education channel stressed

Information Secretary Jamil Osman has directed the concerned officials to quickly prepare an amended project proposal for opening a terrestrial education channel by Bangladesh Television (BTV), reports agency.

The directive came at a meeting to review the progress of different projects under annual development programme (ADP) of the Information Ministry.
