An alleged criminal was killed in a gunfight between his cohorts and Rab at the capital’s Kamrangirchar area early today.
Two members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) were also injured in the shootout.
The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain Dilu alias Delwar Hossain Dilu, 35, a notorious criminal of Lalbagh area. He was wanted in seven criminal cases, sources said.
A suspected criminal was killed during a 'shootout' between his cohorts and the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) at Kaliakoir village in Savar early today.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Rab said, a team of Rab Savar camp while patrolling the area, noticed that a number of criminals gathered at a field for holding a clandestine meeting at about 4:30am.
