Italy has donated a prime piece of land in the heart of Rome to construct a Shaheed Minar, a foreign ministry official said. ‘After a lot of effort the Italians have given us a site near our embassy to construct a permanent Shaheed Minar,’ the official in Dhaka said. ‘So for the first time we are organising commemoration with a makeshift Minar in a big way,’ an embassy official in Rome said.
