The prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, on Thursday opened Nazrul Complex beside the central mosque on the Dhaka University campus on the 33rd death anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. She inaugurated the complex at around 7:00am and had a look around. She later placed wreath on the poet’s grave on the mosque premises.
The 110th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam will be observed in the country on May 25 in a befitting manner.

Nazrul Sangeet artiste Yasmin Mushtari is a well-known name in our cultural arena. Her passion for music is reflected in her performances. Recently, the artiste's fourth solo album of Nazrul Sangeet was released by G series. The album titled, Ramzan-er Oi Rozar Sheshey, is a collection of Islamic songs of Nazrul -- a gift of music in the month of Holy Ramadan and the approaching Eid.

To celebrate the day the Government has chalked out various programmes to be inaugurated by the Chief Adviser to the Caretaker Government Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed at a function at 10:00am at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the city on Sunday.
The 109th birth anniversary of the national poet, Kazi Nazrul Islam, the voice of dissent and revolution whose poems and songs were a clarion call to the oppressed and the indignant, will be observed today. The government and several socio-cultural and political organisations have chalked out elaborate programmes to mark the day.
