মেঘনা পারের মানুষ আমরা। জন্ম নিয়েই দেখেছি কি করে নদী আর মানুষ মিলে মিশে একাকার হয়ে যায় জীবন স্রোতে। ভরা বর্ষায় মেঘনার উত্তাল গর্জন কান পাতলে শোনা যেত হূদয়ের খুব গভীরে, আবার সেই মেঘনাই শীতের কুয়াশায় আধমরা হয়ে হারিয়ে যেত উজান চরের বাকে।
