Special plane for Zillur, Hasina

The government is planning to procure an aircraft for VVIP flights to ensure the security of the president and the prime minister during their official visits abroad. Bangladesh Air Force will operate the special aircraft, sources in the civil aviation and tourism ministry said yesterday. The civil aviation and tourism ministry has prepared a report for the purchase of the aircraft for approval.

President, PM absent from country at a time

In a strange coincidence within less than two months, the Head of state and the Head of government remains away from the country together, as both president Zillur Rahman and prime minister Sheikh Hasina left the capital yesterday on official visits abroad.

PM returns home

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina returned home on Tuesday after a seven-day visit to Sweden and Qatar. She landed at Zia International Airport at 6pm. Hasina flew to the Swedish capital Stockholm on Oct 20 where she attended the European Development Days conference.
