ইত্তেফাক: তিস্তার পানি বৃদ্ধি অব্যাহত থাকায় শুক্রবার রাতে রংপুরের গঙ্গাচড়া, কাউনিয়া ও পীরগাছা উপজেলার ৩০টি গ্রাম প্লাবিত হয়েছে। এছাড়া নীলফামারী ও লালমনিরহাট জেলার বেশ কয়েকটি গ্রামও বন্যাকবলিত হয়েছে। রংপুর দক্ষিণ সংবাদদাতা জানান, তিস্তা নদীর উৎসমুখে অবস্থিত ভারতের গজলডোবা ব্যারেজের সবগুলো গেট খুলে দেয়ায় উজান থেকে নেমে আসা পাহাড়ি ঢলে রংপুরের ৩টি উপজেলার চরাঞ্চলের ৩০টি গ্রাম তলিয়ে যাওয়ায় প্রায় ১০ হাজার মানুষ পানি বন্দি হয়ে পড়েছে । এদিকে তিস্তা ব্যারেজের ৪১টি গেটের সবগুলো খুলে দেয়ায় প্রবল বেগে পানি প্রবেশ করে নতুন নতুন এলাকা প্লাবিত হচ্ছে।

4 bombs found in Rangpur

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered four live cocktail bombs from an open place on the New Cross Road in Guptapara area of Rangpur city yesterday noon, RAB and police sources said.
