An inter-ministerial committee on disposal of politically motivated cases yesterday recommended withdrawal of 659 more 'politically motivated' cases as early as possible. The recommendations were placed at a meeting of the committee, which was formed on February 22 last year. State Minister for Law Advocate Quamrul Islam chaired the meeting.
Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal on Wednesday demanded withdrawal of the case filed against eight leaders of the organisation over the Monday's infighting at Dhaka University.
