On the evening of November 14, cultural organisation Nandan held a musical soiree titled “Notun Kiron Chhoriye Dao” at Rameshchandra Dutta Memorial Auditorium, Chhayanat Sanskriti Bhaban. Artistes rendered “Pancha Kabir Gaan”, songs of five poets (Rabindranath, Nazrul, Rajnikant, Atul Prasad and D.L. Roy) at the event.

The first to perform was Saiful Islam Khan. He rendered two Tagore songs, “Durey kothao durey dure” and “Onek katha boley chhilem”. Enakhkhi Saha Roy performed two Rajnikant numbers “Keu nayan mudey dekey alo” and “Jagao pathikey o shey”.

A B M Mahiuddin performed Tagore songs, Anjuman Ara Kakoli sang Atul Prasad songs; Tanzina Pervin Toma perfomed D L Roy numbers. Other artistes to perform were Pronati Roy, Nilotpal Datta, Rezaul Karim and Iffat Ara Dewan.

This was the 21st programme arranged by the organisation. Nandan organises musical programme every three months. The performances were interspersed with brief remarks on the songs by Dr Karunamoy Goswami.
