To mark the World Dance Day, dance organisation Nobo Nritya, Orenda Communication and Chinese Embassy is jointly going to organise a three-day dance festival titled '3rd Swadesh Properties Dance Utsab' from April 28.
The festival will be held at the Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of the Central Public Library at Shahbagh in the city.
This was disclosed at a press conference at the National Press Club yesterday.
Noted film actress and dance artiste Anjana Rahman, founder of Nobo Nritya Amirul Islam Moni, Chairman of Swadesh Properties Md Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury, CEO of Orenda Communication Farzana Khan Ila and representatives of the makeover partner 'Women's World' and photography partner 'The Story' were present at the press briefing.
Anjana, also convener of the festival, said that everyday the festival will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Besides dance, everyday a dance drama will be also present on that venue.
"Besides Bangladesh, dance artistes from India, China, Japan and Turkey will take part in the festival. Entry fee to enjoy the festival is Tk 30," she said.
Highfashion Furniture, Dragon Air, Lata Herbal and ICL are co-sponsors of the festival. Ekushey Television and Radio Foorti are media partners of the festival, said the organisers.
