Legendary film personality and social worker Shabana Azmi arrives Dhaka today (Saturday) on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts, reports BSS.

She will open a fortnight-long painting exhibition of internationally reputed artist Shahabuddin Ahmed Sunday.

Shahabuddin, also a valiant freedom fighter, has returned home recently with a selection of recent works that bear testimony to a robust life-affirming worldview and his relentless efforts to transcend himself through an unremitting quest for new artistic forms.

Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts has arranged the exhibition featuring the works titled 'Joy Bangla'.

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will attend the function as the chief guest, while French Ambassador in Dhaka Charley Causeret as the special guest.

The exhibition will remain open to all until October 11 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm every day.
