দুর্নীতি মামলায় দণ্ডিত ব্যক্তিরাও দেশের আইন প্রণেতা হিসাবে শপথ গ্রহণকে ঘিরে সচেতন মহলে নানা প্রশ্ন উঠেছে। সুজন সভাপতি অধ্যাপক মোজাফফর আহমদ বলেছেন, দন্ডপ্রাপ্ত কেউ নির্বাচিত হলেই তার সাজা মওকুফ হয়ে যায় না। এডভোকেট এবিএম শরফুদ্দিন খান মুকুল বলেছেন, নবনির্বাচিত সংসদ সদস্যদের মধ্যে অনেকের নামে বিভিন্ন অভিযোগে মামলা রয়েছে। এখন ভোটারদেরই সচেতন হতে হবে। সুশীল সমাজের একজন প্রতিনিধি ইত্তেফাককে বলেন, অন্যান্য দেশে কোনো মন্ত্রী বা এমপির বিরুদ্ধে দুর্নীতির অভিযোগ উঠলেই তিনি পদত্যাগ করেন। আর আমাদের দেশে কেউ কেউ দুর্নীতি মামলার সাজা মাথায় নিয়েই মন্ত্রী বা এমপি হয়ে যান।

ওয়ান ইলেভেনের পর বিগত ২ বছর যাবত যেসব নেতা বৈরী পরিস্থিতি ঝুঁকি নিয়েও দলের মূলধারার পক্ষে সোচ্চার-সক্রিয় ছিলেন তাদের মূল্যায়ন করা হবে।
সবাই বুঝতে পারছেনতো কাদের মূল্যায়ন করা হবে? কোটি কোটি টাকার রাস্ট্রীয় সম্পদ লুটপাট করে মারধোর খেয়েও যারা নিল্লজ্জ ভাবে লুটপাটের ব্যবসাতেই আজীবন দাসখত লিখে হাসিনার গোলামী করে যাবে তাদের।হাসিনার মনোভাবটা এই যে জনগন বিএনপিকে প্রত্যাখান করেছে তার ও তার সঙ্গীসাথীর লুটপাঠকে সম্মান জানানোর উদ্দেশে।আমরাও প্রানপনে চাই হাসিনা তার পুরনো ব্যবসাতেই মনোনিবেশ করুক। যাতে আরেকটা ওয়ান ইলেভেনের জন্ম নিতে ৫ বছর অপেক্ষা করতে না হয়। আর এর পরের ওয়ান ইলেভেন হবে জনগনের অংশগ্রহন নিয়ে, যেখানে ভীরু কাপুরুষতার কোন সুযোগ থাকবে না।

shomdro, this time pro-Khaleda junior army officer derailed whole effort made by the anticorruption, they let everybody go just to let Khaleda go. This process may have given the junior officers access to millions of dollars also. Nobody talking about stolen welath of the accused.
In one to two years people will see all the criminals are in good place again. Although, many of them will become inactive, but they will not be prosecuted, that will crate the uneasiness among honest young generation, they will look for better way.

Criminals and Judiciary farces
It is disgusting to see almost 50% of the sworn MP’s are alleged criminals including our PM, leader of opposition and President hopeful Ershad.
On the other hand, the chief prosecutor of DUDUK has resigned after seeing the election result.
In a civilized world, when the evidences and of legal aspect ensures a rightful prosecution leading to conviction, only than prosecution charges a private citizen or public servant of that crime. The Judiciary weighs the evidences without any personal or party bias. So, everyone, in those countries has every reason to believe that when a prosecution brings an allegation against someone it has merit.
Now compare our system especially that of DUDUK's three cases against Hasina. It is very likely that she took bribes and those allegations probably were not baseless. But, DUDUK tried to prosecute those allegations in court were based on evidences, some were not only legally phony but also laughable. Even the complainers are now saying they themselves do not believe the allegations?
My question, is it our PM shameless for taking oath with those allegations or we should also go after the prosecution who brought those cases without any homework or legal check up or fact finding? Should we be blaming them more for making judiciary a farce?
When a persecution for their own stupidity let a criminal released from the court, they cause more harm to the system or a country by destroying confidence of the people on the execution rule law. That creates more criminals and that has been our history.

I don't agree to some of your points. Dudok had the firm evidences of all the allegations they made against corrupted leaders.The information advisor barrister Moinul Hossain declared that the trial of two netris will be telecast live on TV. But unfortunately the pro khaleda army wing somehow changed the total situation & after that all of us have seen the jokery ( 200+ criminals got bail within a week) of our judiciary sytem.So the release of all criminals is not due to the stupidity or without any home work of dudok. It's simply becuase of our rotten corrupted system ( whether it's army, judiciary, administration e.t.c) which has been built up since last 37 years.

I commented on the cases against two leaders, not about any other criminals arrested by Duduk. You generalized my comments.
I was doing some postmortem on the ultimate effect of hurried and rushed policy to arrest two “nteris” without solid cases. That over enthusiastic activities of Moinul against two “netris”, did more harm to the anti corruption drive than good. These issues put some doubts on the solid cases of Dudok against known heinous criminals too. BTW, We should remember who Moinul is, he was a BNP-Jamaat gharana elite until 1/10 of 2006. I do not think he had any good motive behind his showmanship as adviser. (ofnote: I admit I have personal distaste for Moinul)
Anyway, I can not agree more with you that “the rotten corrupt system of (whether it's army, judiciary, administration e.t.c) which has been built up since last 37 years” probably derailed the good intentions of Dudok. So, having agreed with that notion I suggested in my previous post that they should have been more calculative and pragmatic from the beganing .
I still hope, (and strongly believe) that ultimately the desire of people to punish the culprits will prevail over the conspiracy of elites.
Yes, Dudok deserve all the credits for giving us the assurance that none is untouchable. I salute them for that reason.
EC has partially established the voter’s rights and that will bring the changes in future in our political culture.
Now it is our responsibility to maintain the effectiveness of these institutions and should resist if there is any attempt to politicize these good institutions by this government.
We all love our country and we can agree at least on basic principals without bringing mean partisan interests. That should be our ultimate Muktijuddher chetona.

আমার জানা মতে নুর আলী নিজ থেকেই শেখ হাসিনার বিরুদ্ধে তার দায়েরকৃত মামলা প্রত্যাহারের আবেদন করেছে এবং কি পরিস্থিতির স্বীকার হয়ে এ মামলা দায়ের করতে বাধ্য হয়েছিল তাও গনমাধ্যমে বিস্তারিত বিবরন দিয়েছে। ইতিমধ্যে শেখ হাসিনার সাথে উনি বেশ কয়েকটি নির্বাচনী সভায় যোগদান করেছেন বলেও গনমাধ্যমে এসেছে। অবস্থাদৃষ্টে মনে হয় মামলা দায়ের বিষয়ে নুর আলীর বক্তব্য শেখ হাসিনা মেনে নিয়েছেন। এ ক্ষেত্রে তার বিরুদ্ধে কোন ব্যাবস্থ্যা নেয়া হবে না,এটাই ধরে নেয়া যায়।
নুর আলীর কাছে শেখ হাসিনার বিরুদ্ধে বলার মত কোন তথ্য থাকলে বা তা প্রকাশের ইচ্ছা থেকে থাকলে তা শেখ হাসিনার দুরাবস্থার (অন্তরিন থাকা অবস্থায়) সময়েই তিনি প্রকাশ করতেন বলে আমার ধারনা,পরিবর্তীত বর্তমান অবস্থায় নয় অবশ্যই।
এখানে চেপে যাওয়ার মত কোন ব্যাপার আছে বলে অবস্থাদৃষ্টে মনে হয় না।

আপনি মনে হয় একটি কথা ভূলে গেছেন। মামলার তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা তদন্তে এমনকিছু পান নাই যার উপর ভিত্তি করিয়া মামলাটি চালানো যায়। অর্থাৎ নূর আলীর মামলায় শেখ হাসিনার বিরোদ্বে চার্জশীট দেওয়ার মত কোন উপাত্ত তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা পান নাই। তাই মালাটি এমনিতেই খারিজ হয়ে গেছে। ভাল থাকুনননননননননননন। আর দোয়া করূন দেশের মানুষ যাতে ভাল থাকে।................

Pakistan set a record by making a professional thief their president. BD people set a record by madating AL with close to 80% (231 seats of 300 seats) seats in election; but idiot AL making an alleged criminal the PM of BD people, how pathetic. Till yesterday, 230 newly elected MPs do not know what Hasina and Rehana doing, nobody has a clue. AL people are so scared of thief Hasina, nobody opened mouth.
We could have better an idiot from AL, atleast with clean image; now we are having the idiot with theft back grounds with 14 cases, pathetc.
Even with 80% mandate people could not change the future, pathetic.

Law is not same for same for everybody. Those who are in power and those outside will not be treated in same way.
More over some corrupt persons are either freedom fighter or their sons and daughters or relatives.
No government can punish freedom fighter for corruption, They are immune to more serious offense like murdering others.
