I asked you a tough question, "What did Bangladesh achieve during the tenure of the two Begums' 3+ terms as PM?"
The answer is really painful and you said it well, "nothing."

Before I argue against your comment, let me point out some realities.

The US started its OP visa program (later became DV) from 1991. Throngs of Bangladeshis took advantage of this opportunity and came to America in search of prosperous life. They in turn brought their families including their elderly parents to America. Why on earth someone should bring elderly Bangladeshi parents to America and lead a miserable life? Have you ever spoken with elderly Bangladeshi who migrated the America at the age of 60+? Did you hear their pain in this land of milk and honey?

But why they still want to live in overcrowded apartment in Queens, NYC, like a prisoner?
The answer is simple. They have seen the worst in Bangladesh.

Before you accuse CTG's FUA administration, what was its mandate? It was to arrange a peaceful transfer to a democratically elected government. Was FUA successful? What do you think? How much Bangladeshi blood flowed down the street of Dhaka during the past 3 months and compare that to the 2 yrs of CTG?

The current makeup of B.A.L and BNP as political parties will not take Bangladesh anywhere in my or your lifetime. Do I have to repeat how corruption has corroded all the major political parties of Bangladesh? A typical beggar blames destiny for his misfortune. Similarly, the 60+% illiterate Bangladeshis blame destiny for their and their country's misfortune. How do you break this cycle?

The defective democracy will not make Bangladesh any better than what you see today. Whether it is B.A.L or BNP, they cannot offer anything better than what they offered during the past 15+ yrs.

The B.A.L and BNP leaders are too mediocre to offer good thing to Bangladesh. Unless there is a phoenix than can rise from the ashes of Bangladesh, I see no hope for this overpopulated and under-ambitious country.

উনি চেয়ারমেন হয়েছিলেন ফকুরুদ্দিনের সরকারের সময়, সেই সরকারের কোন ভিত্তি ছিলো না, কাজেই উনাকে এখন আওয়ামি সরকারের কাছে জবাব্দিহি করতে হবে...কারন জনগন আওয়ামী লীগকে ভোট দিয়েছে ...আর সরকার বেআইনি কাজ করছে না ...তাকে (এক সময়ের বিচারকে) তার ভাষায় আসামীর কাছে তার প্রান ভিক্ষা চাইতে হবে নতুজানভাবে নতুবা আওয়ামী লীগ হুংকার দিবে কিন্তু আগেই বলে দিচ্ছি ...কাজেই Gen Mashhudকে আসামী কাঠগড়াই যেতেই হবেই।

যারা মনে করছেন মখা আলমগির দুর্নীতিবাজ, তাহলে Gen Mashhudকে বাচানোর জন্য আলমগীরকে ঘুষ দিন ...দেখুন উনি নেন কিনা ... উল্লেখ থাকে, Gen Mashhud দুদুকের চেয়ারমেন থাকার সময়েও ঘুষ লেনদেনের অভিযোগ উঠেছিলো ...সে গুলো সরকার তদন্ত করবে।
