Case Details:
Victim Akbar Seikh (19), S/o Atahar Seikh was an agriculturist residing in Khamarpara village, falling under the jurisdiction of Raninagar Police Station. On 26th January 2008, the victim went to his farm at Dakshin Mazar Dearh, along with his cousin Sanu Seikh and neighbour Nayan Seikh. They got permission from the BSF Jawans guarding at the Out-Post. Suddenly few people trespassed into the fields with the intention of transporting cattle into Bangladesh. Akbar raised objection, as a result of which a scuffle took place between the smugglers and the victim. Few jawans from the Out-Post rushed to the spot. They let the smugglers go, and detained Akbar. As the victim continued objecting he was shot on the left head side above the left ear. In order to conceal the crime the officials planted a wooden stick and a sharp weapon beside the body. Later on the body was handed over to Raninagar Police Station. It came to light that Akbar was implicated in an attempt to murder case, dated 26th January 2008. The father of the deceased lodged a written complaint on 28th January 2008 before the SP of Murshidabad, and written complaints were also send to the OIC of Raninagar Police Station by registered post urging immediate criminal case against the perpetrators; but all the efforts were in vain.

Case Details:
On 8th March 2008, a body was lying dead at Araji Shibnagar near the border, falling under the jurisdiction of Jalangi Police Station. The body couldn’t be identified and it was stated that the person was foundloitering in the area, and was shot dead by a BSF Official. The BSF Officials shot on his back with four bullets. They had also placed a grass pruning tool beside his body. The deceased was taken to Jalangi Police Station by tying the body to the back of a tractor. A criminal case was filed against the deceased victim alleging him of unlawful assembly, attempt to murder and assault against a public servant in discharging duty, dated 8th March 2008. It came to light that the body of the victim was kept at the place of the incident for several hours without any medical attention. The inquest of the body was conducted in the absence of a magistrate and on 9 th March 2008 the body was sent to Berhampore Morgue for post mortem.

Case Details:
Victim Faruk Biswas, S/o Hatem Ali Biswas was a resident of Madhupur, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagdah Police Station. His brother Manik Biswas was caught by few BSF Jawans, alleging him of being involved in illegal practices. Hatem begged the police to leave his son, owing to which they left him for the time being and waited for an opportune time. Accordingly on 2nd February 2008 the youngest son of Hakem, namely Faruk was shot dead by Constable Akash Thapa. The BSF Officials rushed into the house of Hakem, dragged him out and stated that his son was lying dead. In order to color the crime, the BSF Officials kept a carton of Phensidyl drug in the body of the deceased and also an instrument beside his body that was used to cut the fencing wires. The police of Bagdah Police Station stated this death as an unnatural one. To protect themselves, the BSF Officials had already lodged a complaint against deceased Faruk, stating that he was shot dead while attempting to cross the border carrying the drug.

raihanKhan, why you gave this link? 5 Indian citizens entered BD, looks like without visas, got arrested. It is normal procedure. What you tried to prove?
Do you meant that BDR did not kill them, so BDRs are good. Everyday hundreds of Indians & BD people visit their realtives and friends by the borders, it is a common practice. Nobody kills anybody; most of the times they pay both BSF & BDR.
Killings take place during trafficking of goods. Most probably, you live far away from the borders, I live within 9 miles.

Norm is if a person crossed the border illegally, he or she could be arrested and dealt using law. Not torture and kill them. But Indian's DALAL like you are promoting these BSF un civilized medieval brutality.
And going by your logic (COW smuggling Theory), Indians (thousands uncounted) crossed into Bangladesh illegally, Bangladesh could just as easily shoot and kill them but don't. Most cases they are arrested and send back to india.

Just to summarize BSF killing problem, I have to say you that it is BD's problem, it is financial, it is connected to unemployment, it is conneted to greed.

It is late October, winter is coming, and this is Gangotri - the place where millions of devout Hindus believe the River Ganges descends to earth from heaven. It is a place of pilgrimage high in the mountains, just a few miles from the source of the river.
A visitor takes a photograph of a temple shrine from the wrong place and is sworn at enthusiastically in earthy Hindi
The Gangotri temple is dedicated to the goddess of the Ganges.
People believe that by washing in this freezing holy water, they are purifying their sins. But this is extreme devotion.
The last afterglow of the sun is reflecting off the snow-capped peak of Sudarshan - a perfect cone-shaped mountain.
Bells are ringing in the temple, incense drifts through the chilly air, and prayers to the goddess are being chanted.
A visitor takes a photograph of a temple shrine from the wrong place and is sworn at enthusiastically in earthy Hindi. Offence is taken and curses mingle with the incense.
India is always an interesting mix of the sacred and the profane.

Just outside the temple gates groups of men are crouched around small fires, trying to keep warm.

I am offered a postcard with a photograph of a mountain which is so out of focus that it is hard to tell whether it really is a mountain or just a white blob.
"Very nice picture," the man says. "No it is not," I think to myself, "it is rubbish."

So what sticks more firmly in my mind? The devotion of the devout, or the tattiness of the tat? It is honestly hard to tell because India's always a bit like that - as an outsider it does not give you much middle ground, on anything.
There is so much here that is wrong, that is cruel, and that is unjust. Poverty, caste violence… and for many millions a chronic lack of opportunity.
There is shocking treatment of women, who are killed for providing insufficient dowry, or for making the fatal mistake of falling in love with the wrong man.
There is shocking treatment of children, who are trafficked, abused or forced to work 16 hours a day in sweatshop factories.

বিএনপি চেয়ারপারসন এ ধরনের হত্যাকাণ্ড বন্ধের দাবি জানিয়ে বলেন, ভারতে টিপাইমুখ বাঁধ নির্মাণ করা হলে বাংলাদেশ ভয়াবহ ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন হবে। একই সঙ্গে তিনি দুই দেশের বাণিজ্য ঘাটতি পূরণে প্রতিবেশী বড় দেশ হিসেবে ভারতকে আরো সহযোগিতা করার আহ্বান জানান।
নিরুপমা রাও বিএসএফের গুলিতে হত্যাকাণ্ড ঘটলে তার দেশ তদন্ত কমিটি গঠন করে বলে জানান। টিপাইমুখ প্রসঙ্গে বলেন, তার সরকার বরাবরই বলে আসছে, বাংলাদেশ ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয় প্রতিবেশী বন্ধুদেশ ভারত এমন কিছুই করবে না।

Use common sense raihanKhan, you can stop the BSF killings; ask the cow buyers to buy with LC and bring the cows by transportations. If they buy using cash and try to bring the cows without paying the BSF at night, poor traffickers will give their lives by attempting to earn TK 800 to Tk 2000 per night.
Another thing, Khaleda was never worried for anybody including you, other than Tareq & Koko, OK wiseman of the east!

Indians do black marketing more than BD people, they invest in black marketing, but they are not traffickers; they use poor unemployed BD people as traffickers. So, BSF gets BD people. Any avg. person can analyze these problems, hope, you can get this time; or again will complain against the farmer.

In this forum, I can claim that I stood firm against India's financial take over of BD; from 1979, I never saw or bought an Indian movie, never bought any Indian product for me or for my family. I never enter an Indian store. If you have stand like that let me know.
I have explained many times, that BSF does not kill BD people just because they are from BD; it is financial. If you are black marketeer, you have to pay BSF it's share. When some BD traffickers cheat them few times, BSF get them. Unemployed people in the border villages live on this, they take the risk, 99 times they win, one time get killed. How many people cross border everyday? Avg. 3000. how many get killed? Who is responsible? I AM NOT ADVOCATING FOR INDIA, BUT JUST ANALYSING THE CAUSES, and it is unemployment in BD.
Hope, you understand the term "Trade deficit", it occurs when you import more from a country than you export to that country. You tell me, what we are not buying from India, bus, trucks, mechinerise, food, spices, garments, ornaments, paying for students, taking medical cares, going to hospitals.

PHOENIX – A high school librarian in Phoenix says a former student at the school returned two overdue books checked out 51 years ago along with a $1,000 money order to cover the fines.
Camelback High School librarian Georgette Bordine says the two Audubon Society books checked out in 1959 and the money order were sent by someone who wanted to remain anonymous.
Bordine says the letter explained that the borrower's family moved to another state and the books were mistakenly packed.
The letter said the money order was to cover fines of 2 cents per day for each book. That would total about $745. The letter says the extra money was added in case the rates had changed.
Bordine says the money will buy more books, and the overdue books will be returned to the shelves.

দয়া করে আপনি তথ্য ছাড়া কথা বলেন না। বাংলাদেশ থেকে ভারতে অনেক পন্য রফতানি করা যাবে যদি তারা শুল্ক এবং অশুল্ক বাধা তুলে নেয়। একটি উদাহরন দেই। ভারত বাংলাদেশ থেকে সিমেন্ট বিনা শুল্কে কিনার অনুমতি দেয়। কিন্তু ছয় মাসের মধ্য ভারতে সিমেন্ট শিল্পে ধস নামে। ইন্দোনেশিয়ার প্রযুক্তিতে বাংলাদেশের বানান কম দামী উচ্চ মান সম্পন্ন সিমেন্টের কাছে ভারতীয় সিমেন্ট শিল্প পরাজয় বরন করে। ছয় মাস পরে ভারত বাধ্য হয় আবার শুল্ক আরোপ করার জন্য। আমি মনে করি রফতানি বৃদ্ধির চেয়ে আমদানী কমান ভাল। আপনার মত ভেজাল ইন্ডিয়ার পন্যের চেয়ে স্বদেশী পন্যের জন্য পরিবেশ এবং ন্যায় বানিজ্যের ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে। ভারতে উৎপাদন ক্ষরচ বাংলাদেশের চেয়ে বেশী তাই বাংলাদেশ সহজে বানিজ্য ভারসাম্য রক্ষা করতে পারবে।
