Hasina in Thimpu: Trade deal with Bhutan to be signed today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Thimpu, the Bhutanese capital, on a four-day official visit on Friday. This is Hasina's first visit to Bhutan and also her first bilateral visit to any South Asian country since she was elected as Prime Minister last December.

Plot to attack US embassy: Three LeT leaders taken on remand, police claim contradicted

The Lashkar-e-Taiyeba (LeT) sent a huge amount to Mufti Harun's accounts for carrying out attack on US Embassy in Dhaka, officials interrogating three LeT leaders arrested from Chittagong said. The officials said, Pakistani national Abdur Rahman, who was detained in Pakistan this week for links with militancy, had transferred Tk 600,000 to the account of Mufti Harun's brother Faizullah for this attack.
