State Minister for Law Qamrul Islam today said BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury would be put on trial on charges of war crime. SQ Chowdhury was directly involved in killing Nutun Kundu, owner of Kundeshwari Oshadhaloy in Chittagong, during the Liberation War in 1971.
"We have sufficient documents and evidence of involvement of SQ Chowdhury," he said while talking to reporters at his secretariat office. "SQ Chowdhury will be brought to trial once the legal proceedings against the war criminals start," said the minister.
Replying to a question, he said the reference was today sent to the prime minister for forwarding it to the president. The president will send the reference through the law ministry to the Registrar's Office of the Supreme Court seeking it opinion on whether those charged with BDR mutiny and killings will be tried under the military law or civil code.

The wolf in the net
Thats it, SQ's days are over, the old wolf has been cornerd; nothing will help him anymore, he is foreseeing it.
There were chances that killing of Notun Babu will not be filed due SQ's AL connections, and Saudi interference; that confusions are gone, now it is clear that SQ could not use Saudis or AL connection to get out of the dragnet, no place to hide.
