Dhaka, Thursday, July 2, 2009 - 1:10am BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has approved a new 101-member central committee for Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the BNP's associate student organisation.
A statement released Wednesday said JCD's new president will be Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, with Amirul Islam Khan Alim filling the post of general secretary.
The new senior vice president will be Shahidul Islam Babul, new joint secretary Amiruzzaman Khan Shimul and organising secretary Anisur RahmanKhukon. The new committee is meant to operate until 2010. The previous committee was formed in 2004, with a one-year term.
