Opposition Chief Whip Joynal Abedin Farruque yesterday demanded immediate withdrawal of Indian High Commissioner Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty from Bangladeshas well as resignation of Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni.

Talking to reporters after a meeting of Mohammadpur Thana unit of the party, Faruk said the Indian diplomat recently made objectionable remarks on Bangladesh's water experts.

The BNP lawmaker said that no diplomat should interfere in the domestic affairs of another country. He the Foreign Minister, in whose presence the Indian High Commissioner made the comments, should also resign as she failed to take any action against him.
