The parliamentary probe body is set to place its report today before the House asking it to cancel the MP status of former speaker Jamiruddin Sircar.

In the much talked about probe report, first of its kinds in the parliamentary history of Bangladesh, the all-party parliamentary probe body also recommended for taking legal actions against the trio for undermining the dignity of the House, widespread corruption and misusing power.

The probe body also recommended the House to recover over Tk 2.50 crore that Sircar, his deputy Akhtar Hamid Siddiqui and former chief whip Khandaker Delwar Hossain took illegally as medical bills, additional fuel allowances and for other purposes.
