Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad today said the government should discuss proposed Tipaimukh dam with India. He made the comment while presiding over the seventh national council of the party at Engineers' Institute in the capital this morning.

Earlier on July 20, the party decided to hold its national council to amend the party constitution to be submitted to the Election Commission. The party presidium members and councilors are attending the council.

Ershad described the caretaker government system, as a black mark and said the interim take over by a non-political administration must be ended. The JP chief however emphasized strengthening the Election Commission. He called upon the government to introduce provincial government system in the country.
