Four people suffered bullet injuries in a clash between two groups of the ruling Awami League in South Keraniganj upazila last night.
Locals said the supporters of Nadu group and Sumon group fought a gun battle at Chunkutia over establishing supremacy on Chunkutia crossing CNG stand at about 11:00pm, leaving Shamim and CNG-driver Babu injured. During the 15-minute clash, about 30 bullets were fired.
Later, the Nadu group attacked the house of their rival group leader Sumon at Begunbari and damaged his two shops in a rampage under cover of gunfire, leaving two unidentified passers-by injured.
