What is IT Based and why only IT?

Hi readers,

It is a good effort by the Govt to emphasize IT study in universities but why only IT? We, Bangladesh is not a technnological country and we do not have sufficient infrastructure to deploy some technological concept quickly. Bangladesh is very much agro oriented country and we have history of working and researching well in agro industry. Suddenly, we are moving to IT & IT & IT!!!

But how much of IT we need and how much we can afford to spend our time on?

Our country is now suffering from various problems such as:

1. Food
2. Water
3. Electricity
4. Medical ( Specially dishonest people in medical industry )
5. Education ( specially when our students go to classes 6 days and learn less from those students who goes 5 days in a week, I mean students in first world countries)

Even though we invest a lot in IT, dishonesty might kill it!!!
For example: Sindicates in IT contract tendering have already started to kill our small IT companies who can deliver world class great products and services.

So how can you think that our country will get benefit from IT? We should rather invest on the removal of "DISHONESTY" first.

It is certainly great that Govt is taking initiatives but they should do deep analysis, find cost-benefit, risks and obviously appoint properly educated people who are not dishonest.

Hope our govt do well.
