Tigers eyeing to wrap up series today

Bangladesh are all set to relish their chance to wrap up the five-match Grameenphone ODI series over Zimbabwe with a match to spare when they will face off the old foes at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong tomorrow.

The Tigers intended to retain the same squad as coach Jamie Siddons hinted though opener Zunaed Siddique Imroz had been in a lean patch. The strategy of the hosts to demolish the opponents like the previous match with triggering a spectacular collapse through a band of spinners was on the cards when injury-hit Zimbabwe would seek to rebound.

The visitors, turned into a wounded 'African Lions' were desperate to keep the series alive as they might field injured skipper Prosper Utseya to counterattack the Bangladeshi left hand batsmen and promising batsman Mark Varmulen had also attended in an intense practice which indicated he also might come up with his hands to bolster the batting line up. However injured Tatenda Taibu still remained unfit to play. Meanwhile the crazy cricket fans of the port city and its outskirts are waiting to enjoy the match, especially the local hero Tamim Iqbal's batting. State run Bangladesh Television will telecast the match live from the stadium at 9.30 am.
