Police arrested a relative of Banagbandhu murder convict Bazlul Huda in Chuadanga early Wednesday in connection with the bomb attack on Awami League lawmaker Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh. The arrested was identified as Ataul Huda, 38 son of late Rabiul Huda, reports our Kushtia correspondent. Rabiul Huda was cousin of Bazlul Huda, police said.

According to police, a team from Alamdanga Police Station raided Ataul's residence at Hat Boalia and arrested him at about 3:30am. When contacted, police said they made the arrest as per the directive from the high ups of police from Dhaka last night. Ataul will be sent to Dhaka later today where he will be quizzed about the bomb attack on Taposh on October 21.

Earlier, police arrested Lt Col Mohiuddin's two sons Nazmul Hasan Sohel and Mahbubul Hassan Emran, Lt Col (retd) Khandker Abdur Rashid's daughter Khandker Mehnaz Rashid, Major (retd) Dalim's younger brother Kamrul Haque Swapan and Freedom Party leader Abdur Rahim and Sheikh Shafiullah Sofu for their suspected links to bomb attack on Taposh.
