Police launched a fresh raid at Mother Bux hall of Rajshahi University early Saturday a day after they arrested a hall employee. But none was arrested or nothing was recovered during the raid, reports our Rajshahi University correspondent. On information, police arrested Akbar Hossain, a dinning staff of the hall and also an activist of Islami Chattra Shibir, on Friday night for his alleged involvement in storing firearms at the hall for his party.

Earlier on Thursday, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men informed police that shibir cadres brought huge arms at the hall. They also mentioned the name of Akbar saying that he was aiding the shibir men. After interrogating him, the hall authorities with law enforcers raided the hall at about 2:00am, said a sub-inspector of police who was present during the raid. They sealed two rooms of the hall, he said.
