Salam Pintu again remanded for 3 days

A Narayanganj court on Friday put former deputy minister and BNP leader Abdus Salam Pintu into fresh remand of three days in June 16, 2001 Chasara explosion case.

Judicial Magistrate Amirul Islam of Narayanganj passed the order as Dhaka CID investigating officer of the case Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abu Yusuf Mollah produced Abdus Salam to the court seeking a 7-day remand. He was produced before the court on Friday after a five-day remand for his alleged involvement in the blast case, where 20 persons were killed and 100 others injured at Narayanganj district Awami League office. He first appeared in the court on November 15.
