Distribution of admission forms for 2009-2010 session of first year honours courses at Dhaka University (DU) and Jagannath University (JnU) started yesterday.

Admission seekers can collect and submit the forms for admission to DU till October 19 and to Jagannath University till October 22.

Forms are available at Janata Bank, TSC Branch and Sonali Bank (Register Building) of DU at the price of Tk.300.00 each set. The admission seekers at fine arts however, can apply through online to DU. The web address is www.chaunit.univdhaka.edu. More information of DU admission is available at www.univdhaka.edu.

For JnU, the form collection booths at the Farmgate, Jagannath University, Mirpur-1, Uttara Model Town and Savar branches of Agrani Bank will remain open from 10am to 4pm every working day. Each set of form will cost Tk 300. The forms will have to be submitted to the dean offices of JnU.

This year 2,590 students will be admitted to the university. Detailed information on admission is also available at www.Jnuni.net. A large number of admission seekers gathered on the DU campus yesterday to collect their forms. On the first day of form distribution, the DU authorities distributed 13,300 forms, the campus banks sources said.
