The core group of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) in the next Commerce Minister level meeting, to be held in Tanzania from October14 to October 16, will discuss duty and quota free access of LDC goods to US market.
In the meeting they will try to reach to a consensus with the African LDCs so that they can work unitedly to reap the benefit. Tariff Commission chairman Dr Mojibur Rahamn disclosed these while briefing newsman after a meeting of high-powered committee on world Trade Organisation (WTO) at the commerce ministry conference room.

Commerce Minister Fruk Khan presided over the meeting, attended by commerce secretary Firoz Ahmed, additional secretary of the ministry Mostafa Mohiuddin, director general of Export Promotion Bureau AKM Monjurul Huq,director general of WTO cell Amitav Chakravarty, chief executive officer of BFTI Md Ali Taslim, FBCCI president Annisul Huq, MCCI president Abdul Hafiz Chowdhury, CPD executive director Mostafizur Rahman, leather goods exporters association president Nazmul Huda and NBR member Hosein Ahmed.
Mujibur Rahman said the core group has submitted recommendations on nine issues relating to the interest of LDCs. Those are non agricultural market access (NAMA), agriculture, services, trade facilitation, trips, trade and environment, enhanced integrated framework and, aid for trade. Commerce Minister Faruk Khan will lead the Bangladesh delegation in the meeting.
