Three workers of a ship-breaking yard died as an iron-plate fell on them while working at the yard at Bara Aulia in Sitakund upazila this morning. The deceased were identified as SM Forkan, Hazrat Ali and Nasir, workers of Crystal Ship-breaking Yard.

Police said a large iron-plate fell on the three workers when they were working at the ship-breaking yard at around 9:30am, leaving them dead on the spot. Sub-Inspector Hasan of Sitakundu Police Station confirmed the deaths of the workers but could not provide further information till filing of the report this afternoon.
