Tigers lead the series 2-1

The Dynamic Duo' Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Ashraful’s half-century helped the Tigers win convincingly the 3rd ODI against Zimbabwe by four wickets and lead the series 2-1 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital's Mirpur Saturday evening. Tamim got himself out unfortunately after orchestrated his innings with 12 boundaries and a maximum.

Ashraful again lost his temper after his patient innings of 63 when a delivery of Ray Price sneaked in his defence & ripped off his stamps. Shakib Al Hasan and Naeem Islam remained unbeaten as the chase wrapped up. Both scored five & four respectively. Opener Junaed Siddique, Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim got out cheaply and middle order batsman Raqibul Hasan made 21.

Earlier, Bangladeshi spinners again showed dominance with great support from the lone paceman Nazmul Hossain over the Zimbabwean batsmen as the visitors could only manage to score a moderate total of 196 losing all wickets in 41.1 overs. Fast bowler Nazmul Hossain had an impressive spell of 2 overs later in the innings as he took three wickets in 4.1 overs that he bowled.

Frontline spinner Abdur Razzak grabbed two wickets while today’s inclusion Enamul Haque Jnr picked up three. Naeem Islam and Mahmudullah both got one each. Acting Zimbabwean skipper Hamilton Masakadza was the highest scorer of the African’s innings as he scored 84 runs facing just 79 balls with 12 boundaries and one maximum. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and opted to field.
