As the biggest festival of the Muslims the Eid-ul-Fitr is appearing the Eid shopping is getting momentum, shoppers are crowding at the city markets for buying dresses of their choices. Punjabi, the common and vital attire for men of different ages and stratum is always on the top of the demand for the male for the Eid festival.
The shopkeepers are wooing customers by displaying different designs and categories of punjabis at the different shopping malls. Though the price of various types of punjabis are comparatively higher this year but it fails to keep the customers from buying punjabis of their choices for their near and dears ones.

Punjabi, with special designs of cotton, soft silk, half silk and velvet are making the craze among the young people this year. The rush of crowds was seen buying punjabi at Mouchack Market, Ayesha Shopping Centre, Elephant road markets, Rajdhani Super Market and Pir Yameni market yesterday.
The punjabi , which had cost Tk 500 to Tk 1000 last year, is selling between Tk 1200 and Tk 1500 this year at shopping malls. Shopkeepers at different markets said that there had been a big demand of local boutiques houses punjabi due to its 'conspicuous design and competitive price'.
Boutique houses are selling different qualities of punjabis ranging from Tk 500 and Tk 10,000 while the same is being sold between Tk 600 and Tk 2500 at different markets. Pir Yameni market, a popular shopping centre for Punjabi and Pajama for men, saw abuzz with hundreds of customers. The prices of Punjabis vary from Tk 550 to Tk 1500.
