A delegation of Tata Communication from India Wednesday visited Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission and showed interest in contributing to the country’s telecom sector.
The five-member delegation headed by Christopher Almeida met BTRC chairman Maj Gen (retd) Manzurul Alam and discussed the prospect of cooperation.
‘The delegation was very happy to see the progress in telecommunication sector here and showed keen interest in cooperating with BTRC,’ said a press release. Welcoming the delegation Alam apprised the guests of the short and long term plans of BTRC.
‘Our main work is to improving the licensing system… Bangladesh always welcomes new technology, especially those for improving the life standard of its rural people.’ Alam told the delegation. The delegation included Varun Pendey, Rojan Vohra, Prabhakar Verma and MA Reaz.
