A WOMAN(Bangladeshi) was killed when two cars collided and smashed into a toll booth inside Sydney's Eastern Distributor. Her brother Nobin Still in hospital.
AN eye-witness to a fatal crash at the Eastern Distributor has described how one car involved was 'flying' towards the toll booths before the accident.
Police are investigating how a woman(Bangladeshi) was crushed to death in the crash .
Initial investigations suggest that a white Toyota Corolla driven by a 32-year-old Eastlakes man(Nobin-Bangladeshi) was travelling towards the toll gates when a Toyota Rav4 driven by a 49-year-old Coogee man, collided with the rear of the Corolla.
Taxi driver Peter Asabre was on Palmer Street driving a passenger to Neutral Bay when he saw the RAV4 driving past.
“He just flew past,” Mr Asabre said. “We could see he was flying, he was going well over 80 (km/h).”
“Before the toll booths, you have to slow down. We were doing 50 or 60. He just went whoosh and then, just in front of us, we heard the noise and there it was.”
“At first I thought it was a barricade. Then we saw another car involved so we just rang up triple-0.”
As a result of the crash, the Corolla was forced into the toll both area and the Rav4 rolled and landed on its roof. A 25-year-old woman(Nobin Sister), who was a passenger of the Corolla, died at the scene.
Both drivers were taken to St Vincent's Hospital were they are currently in a serious but stable condition.

রতন ভাই অনেক পুরানো বাংলাদেশী। এক সময় উনার দোকান ছিল Anzac PD'এর উপর কেনসিংটনে। উনি স্বভাবে ছিলেন বেশ অগোছালো এবং উনার দোকানও ছিল বেশ নোংরা। মানুষ হিসাবে উনি অমায়িক, জনগন বাকিতে সওদা কিনে ওনার ব্যবসার ১২টা বাজিয়েছিল। আশাকরি উনি সে অবস্থা কাটিয়ে উঠেছেন। India Dinner'এর আজাদ সাহেব এবং উনার পারিবারিক ব্যবসা কি এখনো টিকে আছে? ভদ্রলোক শুনেছিলাম চাদপুর ফিরে যাবেন নির্বাচন করার জন্যে।
যাই হোক, এ সব অনেক আগের কথা, সিডিনীতে শুনেছি এখন অনেক বাংলাদেশীর বাস, স্বভাবতই দোকানপত্র সহ সবকিছুই এখন বেশী। তথ্যের জনে ধন্যবাদ।

ধন্যবাদ, এখন আন্দাজ করতে পারছি জায়গাটার অবস্থান। অপ্রাসংগিক হলেও একটা প্রশ্ন না করে পারছিনা, মাস্কটের একটা টার্কিস মাংসের দোকান ছিল এবং তার কটা বিল্ডিং পরেই ছিল মোটাসোটা এক বাংগালী ভাইয়ের গ্রোসারী। দোকানগুলোকি এখনো আছে? ইষ্টলেকস্ শপিং সেন্টারটার জমজমাট নিশ্চয় আগের চেয়ে বেড়েছে? ওখানে পাকিং পাওয়া ছিল ভাগ্যের ব্যপার, সমাধান হয়েছে কি সমস্যাটার?

মর্মষ্পর্ষী এবং হ্রদয়বিদারক ঘটনা! কষ্ট লাগছে ছবিগুলো দেখতে। ঐ এলাকায় অনেকগুলো বছর বাস করেছি কিন্তূ টোল পয়েন্টটা কোথায় তা ঠিক বুঝতে পারলামনা। এটা কি এয়ারপোর্ট যাওয়ার রাস্তায়?

গত সপ্তাহটি ইস্টলেকস এবং মাস্কট এর বাংলাদেশীদের জন্য নির্ঘাত খারাপ সময় গেছে। রেহানা গাড়ী এক্সিডেণ্ট মারা গেল সোমবার,মাস্কটের হাসি আপাকে বাসে চাপা দিল মঙ্গোলবার এবং ইস্টলেক্স এর শোয়েবের স্ত্রীর আট মাসে গর্ভকালীন বাচ্চা মৃত। এই সব খবরে গত সপ্তাহটি খুবেই বাজে কেটেছে।আপনি কি বলতে পারেন আহত রবিনের এখন কি অবস্থা।প্রতি সোমবারেই নাকি রবিন তার বোন রেহানাকে নামিয়ে দিতে যেত তার কর্মস্থল নর্থ সিডনীতে। আচ্ছা রেহানার স্বামী মাসুম সাহেবের কি অবস্থা এখন।
