Why this type of polls (Khan)?-Explanation

Dear Mr. Khan, I am unable to understand your comments. Would you kindly write a bit clearly what you want tomean by your second and third line? Politics is the only replacement of politics. That's ok. Then how do you find this poll inconsistent with that idea? Did you read my note to the poll?

According the existing law/ ruel of constitution, the CTG is formed with people selected by one man. This man is determined ex-officio from a particular profession without any consideration to his/her political relationship. Therefore, it is very likely that this person could be a partisan person leading all other members of the CTG selected by him being politically biased making the CTG's desired neutrality questionable to other parties and general people. As a consequence of this weakness of the constitution, we had to face 1/11. The poll is to collect the opinio of people toward a change that the CTG would be formed with non-partisan members nominated by all political parties/ both political alliances or you can say bi-partisan support. That means with people who will be supported by both political alliances. I don't see how this goes against politics. If something like this is implemented that would help us reduce political clashes within the country and offer a fair-play political environment.

Of course we want politics back to politicians, but obviously we do not want another 15 February, august 28 or another 1/11.

In the proposed (changed) method/system:

1. Each political alliances/ parties will independently choose their preferred members from a pool of non-partisan people coming from all professions/ stratus of the society.
2. Only the members chosen/ nominated by both the alliances will form the CTG.

Is it not better than what we have now? Now, the chief advisor can select his wife, son, all in-laws or whoever he/ she wants. That's why we have seen so many unfit people in CTGs before.

I can see people in this board are busy commenting on past events and who is what. Contrary to that this poll was designed to form an opinion on idea of what we want in future to bring political stability in the country avoiding political clashes between parties. I don't see how that can be considered bad.

if it was possible to unite

if it was possible to unite all parties to a single stand, there should not arise any complecacy we are seeing today.

and "there is no independant except for infant and mental patient" (i doubt whether theose are actually biasless.).

te ctg system was good but BNP and Jamaat showed us how to abuse a good system, every system.

how about selecting the UN secretary general as the head of CTG or Watchdog?

Only need to agree with the change

We only need the agreement of the parties to the change. The alliances/ parties do not need to sit together to nominate the non-partisan members. That they will be able to select independently of their own without discussing with the opponents. How? We can discuss that later, if required.

Notes to the poll

One of the main (apparent) reason for 1/11 was partisan actions of the then CTG under President Yajuddin , which emanated from the inherent flaws in the constitution in the formation of the CTG that a predetermined ex-officio chief adviser will select all other advisors. We have seen that there is a risk that the CTG may become completely partisan/ biased. If the two political alliances jointly took a decision now to change the existing rule and replace it by “The CTG will be formed by non-partisan members who are supported/nominated by both the political alliances or all political parties and the chief adviser will be elected from those non-partisan members by those members and two alliances/ all political parties”, that would be more acceptable to the people than the present CTG and their unseen and unexplained plans.

Obviously, we accept the fact that in future the country will be run by politicians. Does not matter which party that would be. The present CTG also accept that fact. And the above change may satisfy the other quarter's demand that we would not go back to before 1/11 in that the change will reduce the political clash between ruling and opposition parties at least in case of forming the CTG's in future. The political alliances or parties only need to agree with the change and pass it in the next parliament. Implementation would not be hard. Political alliances do not need to sit together to nominate non-partisan members. They will be able to nominate their preferred members independently of discussing with opponents. To me this would be a constructtive change for the good of the nation.

So, if all political parties proposed such a constructive change people would prefer and support that to a unknown destination proposed by the existing CTG.
