Annisul Huq vows to enhance trade, investment among SAARC countries

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry president, Annisul Huq, has been made president of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He will replace Tariq Saeed of Pakistan and lead the forum of the South Asian businesses for the term 2010-2011. Bangladesh is entitled to lead the SAARC Chamber for this turn as a formal routine.

FBCCI for Swiss investment in ICT, RMG, Pharma sectors

President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Annisul Huq has called upon the business community of Switzerland to invest in Bangladesh’s potential sectors especially ICT, RMG and Pharmaceuticals. The chief of the country’s apex trade body made this call while speaking at a meeting with business leaders of Switzerland at the conference room of Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Geneva (CCISG) yesterday, said a FBCCI press release on Sunday.

FBCCI sees no reason behind price rise

FBCCI president Annisul Huq has conceded that prices of some essential commodities have gone up despite the efforts by the government and business leaders to contain them. ‘The reason behind the price hike should be investigated,’ he told reporters after visiting Karwan Bazar wholesale kitchen market on Saturday.
