আজ ২২ আগস্ট। ২০০৭ সালে দেশময় ছাত্র বিক্ষোভের দ্বিতীয় বছর। বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসের স্মরণীয় এ ঘটনায় ঢাবি এবং রাবির ১২ জন শিক্ষককে জেলে দেয়া হয় যা ছিল নজিরবিহীন এবং দুঃখজনক। যে শিক্ষক সমাজ ড. শহীদ শামসুজ্জোহার আত্মত্যাগ নিয়ে গর্ব করে সেই শিক্ষক সমাজই সেদিন আতংকিত হয়েছিল স্বাধীন এই বাংলার মাটিতে।

A Dhaka court today overturned the sentences of three Dhaka University teachers and acquitted them of charges of instigating the August 2007 unrest on the campus during the emergency.
