Muhith for establishing Saarc Food Bank

Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Monday called for establishing the Saarc Food Bank to meet the growing challenge of food security in the South Asian region. He was speaking as chief guest at the Saarc finance governors' symposium on food security at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel in the capital in the morning.

Good governance vital to run state: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said establishing good governance is very important to run a state. At the beginning of her second meeting with the civil bureaucrats since the Awami League-led government assumed power in January, she said, "You are the main driving force for running the government."
