Body formed to probe irregularities during BNP rule

A parliamentary watchdog has formed a five-member committee to inquire into the alleged irregularities that took place in the social welfare department during rule of the BNP-led alliance.

Committee formed to raise funds for power

The government today formed a committee headed by Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui to raise funds for generating electricity. The committee would raise up to $10 billion and outline a plan how the money would be used.

Body formed to probe Azad’s arrest

The government has formed a two-member committee headed by joint secretary (police) of the Home Ministry Md Iqbal Khan Chowdhury to inquire into the matters relating to the arrest of the chairman of Azad Group Abul Kalam Azad recently. Other member of the committee is deputy secretary (police) of the same ministry Rashedul Islam.
