JS panel asks govt to take action against profiteers

A parliamentary committee on Sunday asked the government to take tough against a number of ‘big players’ who manipulate the market prices of essential commodities to make excessive profits. ‘Those who were brought to book are not the main culprits. There are some big players who manipulate the market prices,’ said MA Latif, a member of the parliamentary standing committee on commerce ministry, after a meeting of the committee.
