Stern action for not admitting disabled kids to schools: PM

The prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, has warned that stern action will be taken if anyone is found guilty of depriving physically and mentally challenged children of admission to mainstream schools. She also said the government would consider tax exemption for those corporate institutions and private entrepreneurs that would employ disabled people in their respective institutions.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday warned the law enforcers that if anyone of them was found guilty of extrajudicial killings, stern action would be taken against them. She made her government's stand clear when Human Rights Ambassadors of the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany Arjan Hamburger, Amold de Fine Skibsted and Gunter Nooke called on her at the Prime Minister's Office.
