DSE turnover tops Tk 9 bn mark

Turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday crossed the Tk 9 billion mark for the first time ever, as investors shrugged off a hoax bomb threat that shut trading an hour earlier than the scheduled a day before.

Turnover at the Dhaka Stock Exchange on the opening trading day of the week, Sunday, went up to Tk 422.49 crore, the highest since January 5, because of an increased participation of investors, market operators said.

On the day, the market indicator increased by Tk 120.34 crore from the Thursday’s Tk 302.15 crore. On January 5, DSE turnover was Tk 464.22 crore.

DSE turnover dips 4-month low

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) bounced back Monday amid expectations that a meeting between the regulators and bourses Monday afternoon was expected to address the reasons behind the sluggish trend for about six weeks.

DSE turnover plunges below Tk 2b mark

Turnover on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) plunged below the Tk 2.0 billion mark yesterday, touching the lowest in the last two and a half months.

The bourse fell for a second day, though marginally.

Turnover stood at Tk 1.83 billion at the close of the day's trading, which is lowest since August 14 when it was recorded at Tk 1.82 billion.
