At least four people including two police personnel were reportedly killed and over 200 others injured in clashes between ready-made garment workers and law enforcers at Ershadnagar of Tongi in Gazipur on Saturday.
A factional clash of the ruling party's student body Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at the Dhaka University dormitory left two injured in the early hours of yesterday. Students said, they heard sound of at least 20 blank shots during the clash that erupted at around 1.30am over leadership at Haji Mohammad Mohsin Hall. It was the first gunbattle on the campus since the Awami League came to power.
