Delwar warns Ashraful: Be careful about use of words against Khaleda

BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain yesterday warned the ruling party leaders including Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam to be courteous in their use of words against leader of the opposition Begum Khaleda Zia. Posing a question Delwar wanted to know how criticisms against the government can go against the country?" He asked Syed Ashraful Islam to remain careful in future about use of words against thrice elected Prime Minister.

4 newsmen, 16 BNP men hurt in AL attack at Savar

At least 16 BNP activists and four journalists were injured in an attack allegedly by Awami League men in Savar municipality area Thursday during demonstrations against the latest case filed against Tarique Rahman. The injured BNP men include municipality mayor and president of the municipal unit of the BNP Alhaz M Rafatulllah, general secretary of Dhaka district Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Rashedul Ahsan Rashed and general secretary of municipal JCD Asaduzzaman Titu.

Awami League presidium member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim MP has alleged that leader of the opposition Khaleda Zia was a part of the "conspiracy" which led to last week's bomb attack on Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh MP.
