A three-day laptop fair in Chittagong that ends today has drawn the attention of a good number of visitors.
Fifteen organisations at 21 stalls and 2 pavilions are participating in the fair, organised by Creation and Works, an event management firm.
IT firms like HP, Lenova, Compaq, BenQ, Fujitsu, Apple, Acer, Dell, Everatek are showcasing laptops at the prices as low as Tk 22,500.
According to the organisers, more than 150 laptops were sold on the first day. They hope the sales will pick up today.
The industries minister, Dilip Barua, inaugurated the fair at a ceremony held at the port city’s Engineers’ Institute. Former minister MA Mannan, Chittagong Chambers of Commerce and Industries president MA Latif and dignitaries were present.
The fair is provided with internet service through Wi-Fi.
